Jason Canning joined ARMSRx in August 2009. He has worked in the PBM industry since 1996 with experience in numerous functional areas of PBM’s. Due to the nature of the PBM industry, Jason’s career has seen numerous mergers and acquisitions. The experience obtained through these changes has allowed Jason to understand the benefits and disadvantages of different business philosophies within the PBM industry. This provides him with inside knowledge regarding how a PBM should and can operate effectively on behalf of their clients. Jason uses his experience and knowledge in the PBM industry to create a consultative and client partnership approach to pharmacy benefit management.
As an Account Manager with Medco and SXC Health Solutions Jason was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, employer groups and TPAs. He also has extensive experience across other market segments including MCO’s, workers compensation, consultants, municipalities, hospitals, life, and property and casualty.
Jason has a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In addition, Jason holds a current Utah State Insurance License.
Jason lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys running marathons and cycling.
