People who know Pharmacy Benefit ManagementMs. De Leon holds over ten years of collective experience in the retail pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), and healthcare consulting industries. Prior to joining ARMSRx, she was a Health Benefits Analyst at a leading consulting firm. Her responsibilities included creating and evaluating requests for proposals and analyses for multi-employer and public sector clients.
She had previously served as a Pharmacy Audit Specialist for a provider-owned PBM. She served a national health plan, as well as commercial and managed care clients located in the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Her role consisted of analyzing pharmacy network claims, developing algorithms, identifying anomalies, initiating financial remedies, and recommending terminations. She also contributed to the development of the Concentrated Audit Program. In this role, Ms. De Leon worked with vendors, clients, pharmacy providers, prescribers, CMS MEDICs, and law enforcement to in order to maintain an optimal pharmacy network.
Before joining the PBM, she worked for a national retail pharmacy chain in the Prescription Benefits Administration department as a Specialist supporting the areas of Managed Healthcare Contracting and Pharmacy Audit/Compliance.
Ms. De Leon is a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), and has an active Illinois license. She also holds a current Illinois Life/AD&D and Health Insurance producer license. She resides in Chicago, Illinois.
