Broker Awareness Rx

Broker Awareness focuses on providing back room Pharmacy Benefit services on behalf of the brokerage firm or independent brokerage office. As PBM experts, our job is to provide you with answers, do the work and help you produce effective and revealing information for your clients and prospects. ARMSRx will make you look good, save you time, and ensure Rx savings, strategies and solutions including PBM accountability for the pricing and services.

2011 has arrived, and with all the changes associated with Health Care Reform, have you had time to keep up with the changes in PBM? Most haven’t. ARMSRx Has.

What happened with AWP (Average Whole Price) last September? Medispan and First DataBank have now altered what was the AWP “base” price – Medispan to the SWP and First DataBank to the higher DP. So PBMS using MediSPan and First DataBank have increased the gap between the purchasing price (WAC) and the selling price (AWP/SWP/DP) that is used to charge plan sponsors for prescription drugs. This disparity does not preserve the “economic neutrality” and, is in fact, allowing PBMs to increase margin at both retail and mail order pharmacies. For traditional PBMs, this practice also increases the spread opportunity.

How can it work? Two ways:

1. You can retain us for services and we work for you providing a complete scope of services - conducting RFPs, analysis, audits, contract review and/or full blown consulting; or simply use ARMSRx on an a la carte basis.

2. You work with ARMSRX to quickly produce a savings analysis against our client’s leveraged Association/Coalition contracts. These established programs generally produce savings from 5%-15% - including your compensation - and are vetted, effective solutions. ARMSRx will work collaboratively with your team to implement and manage the client providing a third party, unbiased viewpoint. We represent the brokers and the payors, not the PBM.
