Brent offers his clients over 25 years of industry expertise in the employee benefits and pharmacy benefit management arenas. He has worked with numerous market segments that include insurance carriers, managed-care organizations, TPAs, large employer groups, brokers and consultants.
Brent’s experience includes work in the managed-care and HMO industry with nationally know entities such as Cigna, John Hancock and Ameriplan where he worked with and handled large group sales and key account management for well known Fortune 100 companies like Nabisco, Coca-cola and Delta.
He also worked on the provider side of health care for Piedmont Hospital System handling direct contracting for large employers groups in Georgia. These well know groups were companies like Georgia Power/Southern Company, General Motors and Georgia Pacific. Piedmont used this framework to develop the foundation to start the first PHO in Ga.
The last twelve years have been focused in the PBM world where he has worked across all market segments with many of the best-known names in the industry. He worked for PCS where he interfaced with key managed-care providers Avmed, HealthFirst and Humana. His experience with Express Scripts, Wellpoint PBM and HealthTrans along with numerous brokers, TPAs and consultants gives him a broad level of experience to guide his clients through the ever-changing world of pharmacy management.
Brent received a B.A. degree in sports management, 1978 from University of West Ga. He is an avid sailor, a member of Lake Lanier sailing club where he has served on the board of governors and currently sits on long-range planning committee. Brent has raced sailboats competitively all his life from one person ‘single-handers’ to large ocean racers.
